Parker VP
VP stands for “Very Personal” writer, so named because the nib can be rotated to suite the writing angle of the owner. This one is a blue model, made in the USA around 1962 – 1964, but with the anchor imprint of the Danish importer, the Christian Olsen company at the top of the barrel.

One of the other interesting things about the VP was the filling system: a removable squeeze converter with a long neck made of acrylic. The idea of this system was to keep the nib and grip clean when filling; an answer to the Sheaffer snorkel system. However, for some reason, Parker decided to give the neck of the converter a hexagonal cross-section, which meant that if you twist it, you break it.
