Hoover 783

Hoover (along with Orion, London, and Gefion) was one of the sub-brands of the Danish Miller Pen Co., started by Johannes Iversen in 1908, although the Hoover name didn’t appear until the 1930s.

This piston filler is small, but it has an amazing flex on the extra fine nib. The only problem is that it’s “New Old Stock” and I’m hesitant to fill it with ink for the first time (in about 60 or 70 years…) Part of me thinks “A pen was made to be used.” The other part thinks “Why me and why now?” I’ll decide later.
